Welcome to West U Methodist School
West U Methodist School (WUMS) is an outreach program of the church for young children ages 12 months—5 years. The school has been serving children in our community for over 75 years.
We have been accredited by National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) since 2009. Our school is a happy, open-minded, center-based program for children ready for many experiences. Our programs are developmentally appropriate, focusing on developing the love of learning that will carry with them throughout their academic life through play, learning centers, circle time, and various musical and artistic activities. Our children enjoy many forms of self-expression and find satisfaction in the many things they can do. A large variety of materials and manipulatives are available for their ability levels. With blocks, they design and build. They are encouraged to sing, dance, listen, and make music. They learn to communicate with growing skill and confidence and to express their honest feelings. Our teachers gently guide and encourage all children to strive for the highest ability through stimulation, socialization, and creativity while supporting them with Christian faith and care. In addition to our excellent academic staff, we have instructors who teach motor skills, music, art, science, and chapel. For more information on these enrichment classes, click here.
West U Methodist School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin.
