We have a wide variety of sports offerings here at West U Methodist! You’ll find our gym is busy year-round with various sports games and practices. We have something for everyone, so take a look!
Pickleball
Pickleball for all ages!
Each week Mr. A hosts pickleball in the John and Polly Collier High Court! This is a great chance for community members of all ages to come together and have fun, build relationships, and get some exercise!
Pickleball Schedule:
Tuesdays from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
Thursdays from 9:30 am-11:30 am
Pickleball usually runs for three hours and costs $5 to attend. You can pay online with a QR code or bring cash with you.
Basketball
West U Youth Basketball League (West U YBL)

West U YBL is our Basketball League that was started in 2023. YBL provides the opportunity for boys and girls from 2nd-6th grade the opportunity to play on a basketball team regardless of skill level. We have separate leagues for boys and girls. We work with all skill levels to improve their athletic abilities, practice good sportsmanship and teamwork, and most importantly, have fun!

WUM High School Basketball League
Our high school league is a fun, fast-paced, and competitive place for teens to strengthen their basketball skills. We have separate leagues for boys and girls.

UCal Sports
We also partner with UCAL to bring sports such as volleyball or soccer to West U Methodist. UCAL is a Christian sports league made up of many churches across the Houston area that come together to compete and build their skills in a Christ-centered environment.
UCAL Volleyball
UCAL Volleyball is offered for 3rd-6th-grade girls. The teams are divided by grade level and are open to everyone (regardless of skill level). Teams consist of 10 players and are coached by parent volunteers.
